Foxy Radio Show

Deal Radio

Guest booker/guest researcher/online promotion

I was approached by Peter Fox due to him being impressed by my work after I secured an interview on the Foxy Radio Show for Chris Constantinou. (Rude Grl & CC) Peter was particularly impressed by my pre & post online promotion, which resulted in this particular show achieving a Mixcloud number 1 in the UK Indie chart, a 5th in the Global Alternative Rock chart, 6th in the Global Post-Punk chart, and 7th in the Global Indie Rock chart. Over the moon with the results and realising how well connected I was, Peter offered me a role as a guest booker, guest researcher, and online promoter. This role quickly became more a co producer role, which involved not only online promotion, but also listening to unedited shows, helping Peter with interview continuity, creative ideas, song choice and running order/questioning etc

I booked as guests for the show Mick Rossi (Slaughter & the Dogs), Monty Oxy Moron (The Damned) Paul Myers (The Professionals, Subway Sect) Dave Ruffy & Segs (The Ruts/Ruts DC) Chris Musto (Glen Matlock, Johnny Thunders) & Alison Gordy (Sylvain Sylvain, Johnny Thunders) Mike Dimkich (The Cult, Bad Religion, Steve Jones band) Dave Tregunna (Sham 69, Lords of the New Church) George Kimpton (Former Rough Trade boss) Tara Rez (The Duel, Radio Presenter) Danny McCormack (Wildhearts,Yo Yo’s, Main Grains), Lee Sharpe (Ex Manchester United & Leeds United, England footballer, and celebrity), Paloma McLardy aka Palmolive (Ex The Slits & The Raincoats drummer) & Zoë Howe (Internationally published author, broadcaster, musician and visual artist), Camille Alexander (A Void), Lu Edmunds (PIL, The Damned, The Mekons), Steve English (Minder for the Sex Pistols/Professionals/Blondie etc), Lora Logic (X Ray Spex & Raincoats), Nina & Phil (Healthy Junkies), Charlie Mullins (Founder of Pimlico Plumbing), Edweena Garrity (Ed Banger & the Nosebleeds/Slaughter & the Dogs) & John Robb (Award winning journalist and boss of Louder Than War. Author, Spoken word, musician with Goldblade, and the Membranes)

Through creative writing, and knowing which images worked best for online promotion, I expanded an organic online reach in the 100’s to a reach of 3.5k minimum to 10k for each show I promoted. Giving Foxy Radio the best possible chance of maintaining its global top 5 positioning

Black Rooster

DJ Paula Frost

Sex Pistols & Ramones remix (Released 1/10/2021)

A short but successfully delivered 2 week press promotion campaign for DJ Paula Frost‘s (Way Out Radio) Sex Pistols & Ramones mash up. The video features a cameo from Glen Matlock (original Sex Pistols bassist) and Ed Tudorpole (Sex Pistols vocalist during the ‘Swindle’ period, lead singer of Tenpole Tudor & Crystal Maze presenter). The Video was directed by UK Subs drummer Jamie Oliver, and filmed around iconic London punk locations.

I initially secured a video premiere through John Robb with Louder than War, however unfortunately this didn’t materialize, so with the clock ticking the video was premiered by the excellent ThePunksite.com. I also secured features and reviews with IPA Music, Just Some Punk Songs blog, SWND magazine, Welsh Connections, The Punk Lounge, Loud Women, Punktuation magazine, Indie-Music.com, Little Green Footballs, Subba-Cultcha.com & Lights Go Out Zine.

I shared the video on various DJ remix, Sex Pistols, Ramones, and Punk related Facebook sites. On twitter I tagged Jason Williamson (Sleaford Mods) who had provided the following quote for the press release – “I like it. I shouldn’t. But I do!” Jason quoted and retweeted the post, which increased the reach massively. Press mixed with online promotion did the trick in terms of exposure, It got people talking. The mash up definitely divided opinion, however the vast majority of listeners gave it the thumbs up.
